Article on Siliconera: Playstation Vita is becoming a system for visual novels, to fit in two VN announcements at the same time, Hotch Kiss and Grisaia no Kajitsu. Well Grisaia was already on the PSP and it’s getting an anime so it was just natural for the next leastest-friction port. I don’t know about Hotch Kiss though, the art looks a bit Konami…. maybe they’re going after the Love Plus crowd. It scored a 60 on EGS out of 139 votes and AzuAzu was telling me it was a really shit game, so I don’t feel anything for this game. Both games set for release in August [blog.esuteru.com].
Other games on VITA:
– Xblaze Code: Embryo (the blazblu-related VN)
– Memories Off 6 (already on every platform in existence known to man)
– Haiyore! Nyaruko-san (already on PSP)
– Photo Kano Kiss (also on PSP)
– The Pet Girl of Sakurasou (is this good?)
– Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram (PS3 & X360)
Really. Nothing to write home about.
If they can blog about VNs coming out on VITA that no westerner has even heard of, they could blog about….. say….. the fan release of Rewrite???
btw they missed steins;gate original on Vita

and steins;gate fandisc http://www.amazon.co.jp/5pb-STEINS-GATE-%E6%AF%94%E7%BF%BC%E6%81%8B%E7%90%86%E3%81%AE%E3%81%A0%E3%83%BC%E3%82%8A%E3%82%93/dp/B009ZP1JNI/ref=sr_1_17?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1369747554&sr=1-17&keywords=5pb.
Some things here are not really accurate:
– Haiyore! Nyaruko-san (already on PSP)
-> it is not on PSP, it was just released, exlusive for Vita
– The Pet Girl of Sakurasou (is this good?)
-> this IS on PSP, and yes, it’s good, though not OreImo/Haganai level.
“If they can blog about VNs coming out on VITA that no westerner has even heard of, they could blog about….. say….. the fan release of Rewrite???”
Reputable blogs are unlikely to blog about unlicensed fan modifications. That could be seen as promoting copyright infringement and thus could be considered “unprofessional”.
