Hi everybody. This is Decay, addressing you. See? Don’t I totally sound like Decay? You’ll notice that I’m listed as the post author up above, so this is definitely me. Anyway! I just wanted to say that Tay is a brilliant and benevolent dictator and I never question anything he does because he is so smrt and handsome. I totally forgive him for falling asleep and making me do almost everything for this VNTS post. Once again, because he’s so smart and brilliant and handsome. I regret cheating on him with Zaka and going behind his back on surreptitious Hearthstone dates.

Woop woop, short commentary week!

Wait what? I made this post? Really? Must have happened during one of my nightly fugue states, because I sure don’t remember posting this.

Psycho Pass is out. I heard it’s very short and kind of disappointing. But I’ve also only heard that from like two people, so who knows. I tried watching the anime once. I got three quarters of the way through the first season but got kinda bored.

In very slightly less dull news, it seems Lump of Sugar’s upcoming VN Tayutama 2 is getting a Chinese translation on Steam very close to release. Why is that interesting to us? Because the Chinese company responsible for that translation, Hikari Field, claimed that although they haven’t started on it yet, they wish to produce an English translation for release on Steam “ASAP.” We didn’t list this in the table because it feels more like a “we want to do this” and not “we are going to do this.”

And, well, I’m not sure what to think about that. To be frank, I can’t think of a single English translation produced by a Chinese company that has ever been good. I can’t help but feel nervous any time I hear of this kind of thing happening as a result. These uneasy feeling is exacerbated by how rushed they sound. I hope they prove me wrong. And you can absolutely never expect an 18+ release in any form, unless you want the poor chaps in charge of Hikari Field to end up in a Chinese labor camp. Chinese law forbids that kind of stuff outright.

Anywho not much else happened this week and I’m tired. Zài jiàn, motherfuckers.
