KimiNozo Crowdfund Reaches 100% Funding

In less than a month since its launch, the KimiNozo crowdfunding campaign has passed 100% in funding. This campaign aims to obtain the funds necessary to release a new all-ages Windows 10/11 port for the game. Furthermore, it hopes to lay the groundwork for more KimiNozo Reboot projects.

For their first stretch goal, if they pass 33,000,000 JPY they will be releasing KimiNozo Another Episode: Sorrow Flows Like the Wind. This fandisk covers the origins of Hakuryo Academy and the iconic Hakuryo Hiiragi tree seen throughout the âge EXTRAverse. For a future stretch goal, they intend to release a new story showcasing how Suzumiya Haruka and Hayase Mitsuki met. Crowdfunding staff previously indicated this possibility as the outcome of a 45,000,000 JPY stretch goal, but plans have since changed. They have yet to announce the finalized stretch goal for this project.

Coincidentally, a fan translation patch for Sorrow Flows Like the Wind had just released last week. It is unclear whether aNCHOR plans to translate the fandisk officially to English alongside the release of the main game. It may very well be happening, however.

This crowdfunding campaign marks the first of the many planned KimiNozo Reboot projects, which Yoshimune Kouki presented via livestream in August 2022. Yoshimune Kouki hopes that the success of this campaign can lead to the launch of an eventual KimiNozo 2024 remake and a KimiNozo 2040 sequel. Moreover, he would like to release a live-action adaptation, a new anime based on the 2040 reboot project, as well as a social game. Only time will tell if any of these projects will pan out.
