Just in time for Christmas, the long-awaited fan translation patch for Fate/Extra CCC is available to download. The patch was produced by Team Iwakura Production, and was developed over nearly a decade until it was released on December 8th. You can find the patch on the blog here.
Originally released in 2013 for the PSP, Fate/Extra CCC is a sequel to Fate/Extra, set on the Far Side of the Moon Cell with BB shenanigans bringing in characters from the Near Side. Sharing many of the same characters as Fate/Extra, it introduces new plot points while developing different aspects of each character. The game shares many of its prequel’s gameplay features but has an increased number of battle animations for different attacks.
The game has never been officially localised, so the fan translation is the only way for English-speaking players to enjoy the game. As a result, the patch has been met with praise from those who waited a decade to play the sequel. With the patch now fully completed, members of the team left many words to describe their journey with the project, and delight in presenting the translation patch, which can be found on their blog.
