To celebrate its 4th anniversary, Bellhouse (a publishing arm of Studio Élan) has released a new content update featuring:
- Full English voice acting
- Additional artwork
- End credits bonuses & achievements
The game was originally released in 2020 and is available for free via Steam and Itchio.
It features over 15k words and 8 different endings.
The two lead voice actors are Shara Kirby as the princess Cassidy and Natalie van Sistine as the mysterious woman Elowen.
This update will also allow players the option to get the Blooming Edition, the director’s cut of the game for $5. It expands the story much further by including:
- 4 brand new epilogue short stories
- a built-in artbook viewer in the game
- 2 new illustrations
To celebrate this director’s cut of the game now being available, a Kickstarter has also been launched to fund physical copies of the Blooming Edition as well as exclusive merch of the game.
Story
In the depths of a dark and unforgiving forest, an exiled princess whiles her time in solitude.
For a girl raised in the lap of comfort, the woods are impossibly harsh, and day-to-day survival is the most she can manage.
One day, however, a mysterious, beautiful maiden appears, throwing her world out of its already delicate alignment. The princess is instantly captivated by this stranger, and begins to fancy herself the heroine of a fairytale, even as the maiden proves herself to be less and less of a fantasy.
Foolish princess. She should know by now that her life is no fairytale.
In seven days, the wheel of fate will splinter. Seven days, for better or worse…
