Sometimes I see people pointing fingers at visual novels and calling them “hentai games”, and as a consequence, there are also those who fiercely defend them, saying they are much more than their adult content.
I am one of those, as so much of what I’ve read over these years taught me powerful lessons—it wasn’t just a fap session. I myself wouldn’t say I’m even found of H-scenes in general. Hell, if I wanted to beat my meat to some anime girl, there are quicker ways to do that.
However, visual novels can offer much more variety in its sexual content than, say, hentai or even R18 manga (though this format has a LOT to offer too). There is something for everyone, and a lot of them don’t require you hours or even days’ worth of reading to get intimate and reach the H-scene you yearn for.
Cherry Kiss Games focuses their efforts in bringing these titles to English, and they are kind enough to always send us their latest release. We no longer have anyone in our team who particularly enjoys nukige, so I took it upon myself to play a selection of titles from our Steam Curator page. There will be two parts to this, each one covering two separate titles. Since my first two reviews have some themes in common, I decided to bundle them together!
Introduction
The publisher behind these English releases is Cherry Kiss Games. They have released various Miel and Norn titles, starting in 2016 with Wild Romance by Norn and Miel’s Master of the Harem Guild in 2018. They have been around since 2016, and have since released many titles!
Although merely a personal comment, I find the official translation of the titles part of the charm, as they tend to be more based on either puns or jokes. It reminds me of older porn titles, trying to grab the attention of the audience instead of merely describing the plot within the title, like so many titles in Japanese tend to be.
Wholesome, family-sized fun!
One usually expects zero commitment and wild sexual scenes from nukige or most adult content. This is where I tell you not to worry! While wild and inconsequential sex in nukige is great, wholesome sex scenes and stories that turn into a serious relationship can be just as satisfying.
These first two titles happened to have a lot in common, the biggest one being pregnancy, as well as relationships that turn into genuine love born from lust. If you want something that will keep you excited but also make you feel wholesome and happy, keep on reading!
Bunny Girl Cumming for my Carrot
Synopsis
In Bunny Girl Cumming for my Carrot, we follow a young university student. He doesn’t have any friends and hasn’t even dated once. The only thing he cares for is his pet rabbit, Miyu.
One day, he comes home to Miyu… who has turned into a beautiful human girl?!
She explains to him that she was granted a divine miracle and that if he doesn’t get her pregnant, she won’t keep her human form for much longer.
We can only guess what awaits us… wink, wink!
Thoughts on the Story
This is a very simple and straightforward story: you have to get Miyu pregnant, so you get to enjoy full days of hot sex scenes. We have a single heroine and the full cast is reduced to our MC and her, presenting us a pure love story with some character growth and development, even if it is a very simple and predictable one.
Art and Music
The art is absolutely stunning, which makes sense—it is its main appeal, after all. It reminds me of VNs from around 2010, in the best way possible. It is very cute and just as sexy!
The music is very average but it doesn’t cross the line of being annoying to listen to. The game is short enough, so no track outwears its welcome.
Adult Content
As you may have noticed from the synopsis, the main appeal of this title—besides the obvious nekomimi/bunny girl—is all of the pregnancy and breeding scenes. It’s kind of fun seeing a girl get pregnant after watching them be on their “safe day” (and some people actually believe that’s a real thing!) in so many hentai.
All the H-scenes are very erotic, though having so many kiss scenes using the same CG gets boring after a while. The whole point is to get Miyu pregnant, so this is a feast for the “inside” fellas, if you catch my drift.
Besides that, you even get a CG variation for one H-scene, where you can choose the outfit you’d like to see Miyu wearing. Both are very hot!
Grievances
Overall, this is the type of comfort food nukige you can’t fail, so my grievance obviously falls into the technical side. Even if I wasn’t the biggest fan of the voice actress behind Miyu, what bothered me the most was the cheap lip-sync that wouldn’t even do its job properly.

Hentai Homewrecker
Synopsis
In Hentai Homewrecker, you play as Kazuki, a young uni student. You’re lost, trying to get to your new apartment, when you stumble upon the local mature beauty, Haruka. Turns out she is your new neighbor, and she’s ready to get to know you… thoroughly.
But uh-oh, she’s married! Will you enter this forbidden garden of Eden?
Thoughts on the Story
This is probably the most classic porn scenario. It’s something you can still find to this day, though housewives are definitely getting dated, especially in the West. That being said, I don’t think I’ve ever read any nukige with this specific type of plot. It wasn’t the greatest, but it got the job done and it was fun to read through.
Of course, given the nature of this type of story, you can expect some NTR. For those who dislike that, this title is at least light in it: you don’t dwell too much on the topic of cheating and the husband doesn’t appear at all, barely playing a role in all of it. In fact, I would say this is very wholesome, all things considered.
Although you can expect your generic plain-as-white-bread protagonist, he isn’t as bad as some other non-nukige titles. He’s shy and without initiative at first, but soon takes the lead and you can see his progress throughout the story.
It’s interesting seeing someone who isn’t just your typical lecherous MC from his inner dialogue alone. You see how conflicted with his feelings he gets, not wanting to hurt Haruka or her marriage, and feeling angry at her husband for their stale relationship. It’s very inspiring to see him evolve and focus his efforts in his love for Haruka.
Art and Music
Although I loved the artstyle for Bunny Girl Cumming for my Carrot, this one wasn’t to my taste. It’s not a bad artstyle and I do think it somewhat fits the overall story. At the same time, however, it sometimes looks a bit cheap and even generic… maybe “stiff” would be the best way to describe it.
Though it’s no masterpiece, the choice of soundtrack for this title is far better than the previous title. I’m not saying it’s an amazingly good set of tracks, but they are very fitting for the atmosphere the VN provides, especially during H-scenes. You get to listen to a jazzy soundtrack, which reminds me of the stereotypical 50s housewife scenario (even if we’re talking about a Japanese housewife here), in a more ‘porno’ way.
Adult Content
First of all, this title features a lot—and I mean A LOT—of public sex. If this is a deal-breaker, you’re better off picking the other title I reviewed (there is one outdoor scene, but that’s it). These scenes can be very sexy and thrilling, though, especially if you’re into the more wild and ‘animalistic’ side of kink. Personally, although I found some parts a turn-on, most of it was too anxiety-inducing for me to be into it. I just couldn’t concentrate on the action, thinking some person could come in or notice anything!
Grievances
Although one of its main tropes is based on NTR, this nukige barely touches on it as a source of H-scenes or drama. I would have loved to watch some conflict surrounding her marriage and/or husband unfold!
Sure, we get some insight on her situation, but we don’t get to play an active role on it. I would be satisfied if we could have seen some H-scenes of hidden sex while the husband was still at home, or if he got home early and they had to hide. I think that’s wasted potential, especially given how much risky sex is featured.

Verdict
I am not an avid nukige enjoyer, but I did have a wonderful time—even better than I expected, if I’m being honest. I can only thank Cherry Kiss Games for that!
We got two very wholesome titles, though with different flavors. If you enjoy pregnancy and lovey-dovey stories, you can read both of these under one day—perfect reads for the weekend!
