Fling with a Tiefling just released on October 27th 2023 on itch.io. It was created by Kristi Jimenez, also known as HusbandoGoddess. Inspired by Baldur’s Gate 3, in August 2023 she first arrived at the notion of turning these creative influences into her own work.
Within these 4,000+ words, you find yourself close to the end of your adventure in the world of Utril. Just one night separates you from facing the dangerous force that seems to threaten your land.
Troubled by thoughts of the future and the unknown, you sit by the campfire, your companions already asleep.
But just as you are about to drown in these thoughts, the cunning Tiefling and valued companion, Karrus, for whom you have been harboring unknown feelings for quiet some time, joins you.
Now that you are about to reach the climax of your journey, unsure if this will be your last night, it is time to be open with one another…
Karrus is a male Tiefling and your companion on your adventure through the lands of Utril.
His smooth and playful behaviour has brightened even the darkest days.
And through all those struggles and trauma of war, the two of you grew closer together.

From beginning to end this visual novel did not disappoint! With Scarlett‘s unique soundtrack and Ari‘s fantastic artwork, Kristi’s words were brought to life. The atmospheric sound effects allow you to further immerse yourself within the story.
Fling with a Tiefling is the first time Kristi dips her toes into spicy terrain. While at the beginning she was uncertain if she would be up to the task, given that she is asexual, I have to agree with many other people and say – yes, she more than lived up to it!
I also appreciate how Kristi allows the player to choose between a spicy and a cozy ending – as there are people who find sexual intimacy of any kind repulsive. This ensures that absolutely no one gets left behind!
Although I myself am a connoisseur of smut and spice, I found the “cozy ending” of Fling with a Tiefling superior. You can clearly notice this is Kristi’s area of expertise and where she feels comfortable. I also found it easier to get into and – putting it bluntly – it made my heart beat faster.
Though Kristi made clear the sexual scene wouldn’t be explicitly detailed, it still felt cut short. However, this is just my personal preference. Taking Kristi’s inexperience within the spice genre into account, this scene was way better than what many seasoned spice-writers could put down!
All in all; the hard work, passion, sweat (and Baldur’s Gate 3 brainrot) put into this small but beautiful project is more than just visible and definitely worth the love and praise it deserves!
It’s a big must-play for every romance-lover, Baldur’s Gate 3 appreciator and Dungeons and Dragons fan! With its swift playtime, it’s also easy to read through in one sitting!
