[wpdatatable id=482]Pretty excited for Chaos;Child. I might give that a shot after I’m done with MLA. I haven’t actually read much of Chaos;Head, and I’ve heard very conflicting things on how necessary C;H is for understanding C;C. I was planning on waiting until Noah was translated but I don’t think I have the patience for that. I figure that if a quasi-sequel released years later isn’t easy for newcomers to understand, the developers really something up along the way (especially with an all-new main cast).
Also, congrats to the Hollow Ataraxia voice patch team on their release! Yeah, it’s not a translation patch (we’ve already had an HA patch for a few years), but Tay is a mega Fate fanboy and couldn’t resist adding the project to the list. I’m almost sad to see it go. It’s been on our list for so long.
Oh, and I don’t want to leave without mentioning Bad Apple Wars. I doubt I’ll be able to play it, but I’ve heard nothing but really great things about it, with many people putting it among the best otome games ever translated into English. You definitely need to check it out if you have a Vita and at least a passing interest in otome games.
See you all next week![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1507956774251{border-right-width: 1px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-left-width: 1px !important;border-left-color: #673ab8 !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-color: #673ab8 !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #673ab8 !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;border-radius: 1px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]TAYsteful Thoughts™Have a good week, everybody![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
Guys, the release date for C;C in NA is 24th October. It’s still this month!
Thanks for the heads up. That typo is my bad. Fixed.
Aiyoku no Eustia Total TL: 22.64% > 21.96% wut?
Maybe they decided to revert the translation of Eustia and are now untranslating it bit by bit until it’s completely undone. >_<
On a more serious note, should Chaos Child make it on the PC somehow, I'm pretty interested in it, despite not having liked Chaos;Head. Mainly because the new protagonist seems to be almost the opposite of the old one in C;H who managed to ruin the whole VN with his crappiness.
Well, looking from the spoiler I would say that perhaps you would be disappointed…. again. But hey, it’s still up to you though to find out by yourself in regard of Chaos Child later.
I was mostly judging it by the personality tags on VNDB and the overall good reception. The Chaos;Head anime also wasn’t that bad since the suck phase of the protagonist was much shorter. So plot-wise it’s certainly interesting.
Even if it sometimes looks that way, I don’t hate everything! Really!
In regard of Eustia, I think most likely it’s the typo here in regard of the process of translation was already reach 22.64% before reverted to 21.96%. The typo was at 22.64%.
Anyway, here’s my VNTS Review fir this week below. Enjoy.

There is a living (last update was 2 days ago) Akaya Akashiya Ayakashino translation project https://rikoren.dreamwidth.org/17443.html#cutid2
Though I don’t really understand how to interprete its progress
Oh, I love non-linear change logs.
huh, actually looks kinda like the comments I’d make on version control commit when I tried out editing WEE1 a few million years ago.
I suppose it is a good problem to have, but doesn’t MangaGamer have almost a year’s worth of releases completely translated and edited? I know there are other steps involved, but that is still kind of amazing. Especially compared to the recent stream of machine-translated/non-edited titles that are being dumped on Steam from other companies.
You could say it’s a good problem to have, or you could say that they have these valuable assets just sitting around collecting dust and not making money; it’s not exactly great business :p. MangaGamer has a bit of a programming bottleneck right now that is causing problems. They’re not the only ones, either. It seems all the major loc companies are pulling from a similar limited pool of programmers and things are progressing through the programming stage much more slowly than anyone, both us and them, would like.
If you’re a programmer and have both the time and inclination to do somewhat low-paying freelance jobs, give MG or SP a call. SP is even looking for a full-time in-house programmer to help alleviate their bottleneck.
I hope all the companies can get the programming help they need. I’ve thought that about JAST for a long time, since I always seem to encounter bugs with their releases that don’t get fixed for months. But I would like to see all the companies not limited by bottlenecks, too.
I agree that MangaGamer isn’t making money on these valuable assets, but I’ve never got the impression from them that they have ever wanted to switch to multiple releases every month. So, even if they didn’t have a programming bottleneck, I don’t know that we would have seen a lot more releases from them.
ImoPara 2 when.
Good updates this week. Looking forward to Magical Marriage Lunatics. Its not just the name that interests me, but also the developer. They are the same people who did Princess Evangile, and also Imouto Paradise 1 and 2 (although they were under one of their imprints, Moonstone Cherry).
I don’t know who said BAW was one of the best otome, but as far I’m concerned it’s pretty average. Nothing really stands out. The plot’s ok, the music is ok, the art feels like it belongs in Shonen Jump. The voices are good and the supporting cast is fleshed out nicely, but they didn’t even bother translating the inner thoughts part.
i think it was some popular bloggers that overselled the game a bit but anyway Aksys seems to have been rushing with the otome stuff and really not revising texts and letting errors and untranslated bits get away…
the game itself its okay, tho the entire plot gives me too much Angel Beats vibes…. specially the drama lol i like the art a lot but Suou’s art was the main reason i was going to buy the game anyway lmao
From what I know BAW is quite mediocre rip-off of Angel Beats. Never heard really great things about it
Man waiting for Imopara 2 and IULMTSS forever -_-
Some more % on the Witch Garden TL. I sincerely hope the team will be able to finish it all in due time especially with another group for a different TL has fallen that being the people working on Love x Cation.
Can count me at 3rd waiting on ImoPara 2.
after some time quiet like a mgsv character Idea Factory dropped the Hakuouki: Edo Blossoms announcement for next year http://ideafintl.com/hakuoki-edo/
if they try to port to pc later hopefully they try fix the bugs with the port ( ̄ω ̄;)
Fucking finally! Why so quiet though? They ashamed or something?
considering it’s Idea Factory they probably were busy with moe games since its the main thing they have
I’d like to mention that Quof and EldritchCherub have both left the LxC TL, and one of the remaining TLs has officially confirmed it to be dead.
No no no no no no no!
Not only is LxC the series i was anticipating the most to get a translation, but also the games that i was anticipating the most of overall vs other games.
Damn it.
The new week’s VNTS isn’t out yet, and usually I see it out, like, 24 hours ago.
Well they say they’re gonna delay it a couple of days, so maybe there would be no VNTS for this week here unfortunately.
Anyway, even though there’s no VNTS here I still write the review for this week below. Enjoy.

Is Tay okay?
