Hoshizora no Memoria is a visual novel made by FAVORITE. They are most known for works such as Irotoridori no Sekai (which will get a translation by NekoNyan) and AstralAir no Shiroki Towa, as well as its fandisc.
The game was originally released in 2009; the next year, the fandisc was released. After 8 years, it was finally available for download.
In 2019, FAVORITE announced the Hoshizora no Memoria HD -Shooting Star & Eternal Heart Anniversary BOX-. It contains remasters of both the main game and its fandisc and newly drawn CGs (instead of enlarging them). Chinami‘s voice can be switched between her original VA and her -Eternal Heart- VA too.
Meet Kogasaka You and his little sister, Chinami, both of whom after the sudden death of their mother, are set to leave the city to go back to their childhood hometown to live with their aunt, Shino. Initially leaving their hometown of Hibarigasaki was difficult for You, as he was close friends with a girl who he saw nearly every day after school at the local town lookout. When she discovered that You would be leaving the town, she made him promise to return to marry her and left him with simply a kiss on the forehead to remember her by.
Once You returns to his hometown, he searches for that childhood friend, only to find his previous meet-up location is now fenced-off and abandoned. While out searching, he instead stumbles on a mysterious girl named Mare who carries a scythe and claims to be a Grim Reaper. Now back in his hometown, You starts to rebuild his life, making friends and continuing his search for the girl he made a promise to. Will he eventually find his promised love? Who is this mysterious girl and why does she seem so familiar?

Sekai Project has released Hoshizora no Memoria -Eternal Heart-, a fandisc version of the first game. It contains additional story routes as a sequel to complete the Yume and Mare routes of Hoshizora no Memoria, as well as an additional side story for the other heroines of the game.
On Hoshizora no Memoria kickstarter blog, Sekai Project said that they would skip the 4:3 version of Eternal Heart and go right into working with the HD version.
After less than 3 years of developing, Sekai Project released the HD version of the fandisc for Steam on November 18th 2022. You’ll be able to unlock the censored content through the R18 patch on Denpasoft.
In fact, most players found it weird that Sekai Project released its fandisc before the main game, since they’d have to wait for the main game to get the main experience.
