On November 1, Wizard Raz Studios launched the Kickstarter for their latest VN To Grant a Wish. The game will be Wizard Raz Studios’ second VN title, two years after the release of Balance of Power‘s latest demo. The campaign will be running for two months with a goal of $6100.
Wizard Raz Studios is an indie development studio based in the UK that initially started their foray into the EVN space with their first title, Balance of Power. Despite an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign in 2020, Wizard Raz Studios continued with the game’s development using funds donated to them. They successfully released an updated version of the game’s initial demo a year after. On March 2023, the dev has decided to temporarily put the project on hold.
Amidst Balance of Power’s struggles, Wizard Raz Studios wrote To Grant a Wish as to take a breather from the previous game’s development schedule. Seeing its potential, Wizard Raz Studios decided to pursue To Grant a Wish first because of how it scaled better as a project with only one writer. The game has since then released two versions of its demo back in July, one featuring boys and the other featuring girls.
In ‘To Grant A Wish’ you play as a Minor Deity, whose presence has been fading due to a lack of worship. One day, you receive an offering on your shrine that grants you more power than you have had in a century, and you set out, determined to grant their wish. Unfortunately, this isn’t quite so simple as it seems…
