Today, on the 6th of January 2024, amateur group Doujin Otome releases their second game in English titled Winter Memories. A sequel to Summer Memories, the game is set to release on Steam and Kagura Games‘ official website.
Doujin Otome originally released Winter Memories in July 2023 for Japanese audiences as Amaenbo Fuyu. As their second visual novel, it serves as the direct sequel of their previous game Summer Memories that released almost four years earlier. Kagura Games picked up both titles to release in English and Chinese.
The Amaenbo series consists of adult visual novels created by Doujin Otome on the RPG Maker engine. It follows the story of Boku-kun, a young boy who came to the countryside because his parents were too busy with work. Intent on creating beautiful memories, he sets out to meet new people, particularly girls that he can become friends with!
Just like other dating simulations. the series’ gameplay revolves around performing a limited number of activities within a day system. As Boku-kun, these activities are actions that either raise his stats or advance his relationship with the heroines. The player can also encounter various mini-games that they can try and clear. Similar to the first game, Winter Memories features multiple endings unlockable by clearing certain conditions.
If you’re interested in playing Winter Memories, you can buy the game through Steam or through the Kagura Games website for $17.99.
