Sorry this is quite old (August 2012), found this in an XSeed Q&A on Kotaku.com. While here in Fan TL land, people can assemble a 1 TL + 1 editor setup comparatively easily with a $0 budget, and see it through to completion at almost commercial grade levels. It is quite an amazing feat folks. Please produce things with a little less shame.

I’ve yet to see any fan TL even come close to actual commercial grade translations, like for example the work of Alexander O. Smith. The divide in quality is still light years apart.
Hm. Interesting conversation… 🙂
