The Dreamcast Junkyard Releases Fan Translation of Dreamcast Gem: Nakoruru ~The Gift she gave me~

On June 15th, 2023, the SEGA Dreamcast enthusiast website, The Dreamcast Junkyard, published a fan translation of Nakoruru: The Gift She Gave Me. It was first announced on the Dreamcast-Talk forum and on Fuwanovel’s forum. After two years, the game patch is now downloadable here!

Nakoruru: The Gift She Gave Me was initially released for PC in 2001, followed by a Dreamcast version in March 2002. The game was developed by Inter-Let’s and Kool Kizz and published through SNK—a brand that is now best known for the game series The King of Fighters. Nakoruru is rather obscure, but visually, it’s similar to the Utawarerumono series. The game has been translated by a separate team of Derek Pascarella, Duralumin, Marshal Wong and Lewis Cox.

The blog post concerning Nakoruru provides readers with information about the game and the history behind its development, as well as information about the translation process for the fan patch. Make sure to check it out here!
