Welcome to Fuwanovel’s newest monthly blog post, the Fuwanovel EVN List! In this particular blog post, we aim to share with our readers a summary of EVNs that were released during the span of the past month. Note that these EVNs might include indie titles from other languages that were made available in English. If you’re a fan of reading English indie titles, then look out for the post every start of the month!
Sorry for putting this up late! Compared to when I was making last month’s list, I’m a lot busier now. I’m currently in the middle of moving places and the lack of an internet connection has been, well, enlightening to say the least. Regardless, with the power of determination and public spaces having wi-fi, we’re bouncing back and getting this out for consistency’s sake. Let’s get to it and go through the new releases!

You get lost on your way to deliver food to your ill grandmother and find yourself in a scary, dark forest. As if things weren’t bad enough, you get chased down by a pack of vicious, hungry wolves. You run until you stumble upon a spooky building that seems to be abandoned. You have no choice but to seek refuge in there in order to avoid being eaten alive.
As you’re about to knock on the door, you feel yourself getting weaker and lose consciousness. When you wake up, you find out that the building is actually a hospital and see a man sitting next to your bed. He explains that he works at the hospital as an infectious disease doctor. He claims that you entered the epicenter of a mysterious, new virus epidemic and that you contracted the deadly viral disease.
He argues that you won’t be able to leave the hospital until you’re cured from the disease. But he tells you not to worry because he will take very good care of you until you’re cured. As you spend time with him, you come to the realization that he is much more interested in controlling and keeping you to himself than nursing you back to health. You also can’t shake the feeling that he is hiding something.

And that’s the Fuwanovel EVN List for this month! We listed a lot of Game Jam visual novels this time thanks to the recently concluded NaNoRenO 2024. If you’re interested in trying out indie devs’ works, it’s a great time to jump into itch and take advantage of the free visual novels! You never know, there might just be a hidden gem there just for you!
As for me, I haven’t been able to read as much as I wanted to because of me moving places and starting a new full time job, but I’ll make sure to try some of them out! For the freeware EVNs, I’m very interested in trying out in the grace of our malice and Essence Bloom! Looking at just the visuals and synopsis, Led Along a Torchlight Road seems like a pretty nice read if you want a quick one too. And Cat’s Life just looks plain silly LOL.
Among the commercial releases, I think The Symbiant Re:Union is one of those titles that fans have definitely been looking forward to, while The Flower Shop: Winter in Fairbrook being ported to consoles was something I did not see coming at all. Meanwhile, The Other Side of Mist and Mountain and Chrono Jotter, both visual novels from Chinese developers, look pretty damn good. It’s nice to see CVNs being part of mainstream releases now.
And as a special mention, Mediterrenean Inferno‘s visuals and entire motif are pretty damn interesting. I’m interested in reading that for myself. Add that to the never-ending backlog, please!
