Epic Eagle Team Releases Fan Translation of Key’s Stella of the End

On July 10th, 2023, during a very dry week, the fan translation group SnowyRujinTL posted an update to Twitter about its progress on Planetarian -Snow Globe-. But within the same tweet, the group announced the release of a complete translation patch for Key’s Tsui no Stella (Stella of the End). Up until that point, no one was aware of an effort to translate the title. The team that worked on it on wasn’t SnowyRyujin, however, but a Russian group called Epic Eagle Team.

Stella of the End is one of the three New Age Kinetic Novels that Visual Arts/Key announced in October 2021 under the codename Project: PORTER. This was done alongside two other titles, which turned out to be LOOPERS and LUNARiA -Virtualized Moonchild-. Stella of the End was written by Tanaka Romeo of Cross+Channel and Kana ~Imouto~ fame.

Stella of the End saw first release in Japan on September 30th, 2022, and later received ports to mobile devices. A blog post from January 12th, 2023 announced an official worldwide release in 2023 featuring English and Chinese translations.

Wait! Wasn’t this supposed to come out officially?

Story

If I make it to the other side of the sky, I can become human…

Earth has been taken over by a group of machines that created a “singularity.”
Humanity is forced into the shadows.

One day a transporter receives an odd request.
The cargo this time is a girl android developed to be a substitute family member.
She is unaffected by the Singularity Machines.

Despite being put off by the girl’s naïveté, the transporter begins his journey with her, avoiding human bandits and machines.

Undeterred by the danger, he presses on; he must make the delivery.

The girl often talks about wanting to become human.
Their destination is a space elevator so tall it appears to pierce the sky.
It’s rumored that androids who make it to the top can become human . . .

But is it true?
