Welcome to Fuwanovel’s newest monthly blog post, the Fuwanovel EVN List! In this particular blog post, we aim to share with our readers a summary of EVNs that were released during the span of the past month. Note that these EVNs might include indie titles from other languages that were made available in English. If you’re a fan of reading English indie titles, then look out for the post every start of the month!
Sorry for getting this out even more late compared to last month’s! The internet issue at my new place still hasn’t been resolved, which means that this week marks my seventh week without wi-fi! Yay! I started a new full time job too, so it’s been really hard trying to squeeze in Fuwa-related stuff during the only time I have an actual internet connection: my work shift. Let’s pray these things get better so I don’t end up delaying even more stuff on my plate!

Unluckily in Love (Update)

Unsure of how to cope with this news, Yuel’s mental health collapses. Not knowing who to turn to during such a tumultuous time, he eventually decides to ask his cool and competent older cousin, Tavi, for help.
Tavi is effortlessly cheerful where Yuel is awkwardly withdrawn; outgoing and confident where Yuel is shy and self-conscious; flippant and irreverent where Yuel is stern and serious.
Tavi takes it upon himself, after seeing the state of his younger cousin, to cheer Yuel up to the best of his abilities. Yuel, however, is unaccustomed to kindness, and his feelings for Tavi soon become startlingly sensuous.
Yuel’s life is hard enough as it is, what with his turbulent childhood, his non-existent social life, and now his father’s sudden death, but this pushes things to a tipping point. What in the world is he going to do now, after falling in love with his own older cousin?

The Hypnotist’s Experiment

Shuyaku Hyland is just your average high school student who attends the prestigious Hyde Colligate Institute. Despite being born into a rich family, he honestly finds his own life rather boring. Failing class and constantly getting into fights all day, his delinquent nature makes the other students scoff at him, seeing him as rather plebeian or barbaric.
However, this boring disruptive life of his is about to come to an end. One day he opens up his postal box as usual, expecting to find junk mail, but to his surprise, he finds a package sent to him by his Father. Opening the package, he finds two things; a letter by his father and a book called “The Art of Hypnotism”.
Bored Shuyaku doesn’t care about what the book has to say, so he just tosses it aside and forgets the whole thing…until the very next day when his next door neighbor and childhood friend, Saki Itsuka, comes over to his place, noticed the book, and felt intrigued by it. She decides to dare Shuyaku on whether or not he could hypnotize her. He accepts the challenge out of boredom, but his boredom quickly turns upside down as he actually manages to hypnotize her.
Shocked at how easy it was, he decides to use it and make his life just a little more interesting. To see how far he go with this skill, he sets his sights on the school he is attending, deciding to use his newfound abilities to potentially take over the School in a fun little game of sorts. Little does he know, however, was that this was exactly what his father predicted would happen. Now he sits back and observes how far his son will go in an experiment of sorts.

And that’s the Fuwanovel EVN List for this month! I haven’t been able to check a lot of these out because of how busy I’ve been, but there are some that stand out as interesting.
Among the freeware titles, It Paints Me has a very pretty style that just makes me want to pick it up and Hoping This Finds You Well looks like a damn cute LGBT read. For ones I’d like to try, ebi-hime’s Unluckily in Love and Without a Voice‘s are both titles I’m interested in reading for more same-sex romantic content, while GESTALT: The Fifth Day and outside the door both have concepts I’d like to see bear fruit. My top pick though would probably be The Hungry Lamb: Traveling in the Late Ming Dynasty—stories inspired by historical periods, if done well, usually give me a good time. I’ll probably get it during my next purchase!
Maybe I’ll play Fatal Countdown – immortal List of Desires too.
